  (For Christians) Why should Muslims question the Koran?

  i'm wondering about this hypothetical scenario:.

  suppose..... a young muslim (non-radical/moderate) in a middle-eastern country has no access to the bible or any form of christianityhe's keenly aware of other non-christian faiths and the loyal adherents of those faithsaside from a blind faith in the koran (and, in turn, allah) he is an intelligent and logical thinkerhe doesn't see any flaws in his reasoning, no matter how illogical it may seem to outsidersokay, now based on the above suppositions..... what kind of introspective thinking might lead him to identify his own flawed reasoning so that he eventually realizes the koran is not a revelation of god?

  is such a thing possible?

  I have seen the Roman verses used to support Calvinism. What is often overlooked is the phrase, "As it is WRITTEN". When were the statments written? The one about Jacob was written after his birth, referring to what God said after Jacob's birth. That He hates Esua was written about a thousnd years after the death of Esau in the book of Malachi.

  As for our Muslim friend, the question is how high did God set the bar pertianing their salvation? What Baptists and others forget is that everyone before Christ that found salvation, did so without knowing the name of Jesus. Can a person today be saved without knowing the name of Jesus? I suspect yes. Would such a person just go on as before? No. With Christ in his life, there will be growth. The difference between those who have and have not heard the name of Jesus can be summed up with "To whom much is given, much is required".

  The book is easy to obtain. ThePirateBay has been operating out of Scandinavia where it is actually legal to host torrents. Not that there is a connection between the book and this torrent site, mind you. I wouldn't be one to suggest where to go to obtain a pdf of it. A great torrent program for downloading torrents from torrent sites is uTorrent. Not that that has anything to do with the book either.

  FF, what defines success for Adam? Are you suggesting that Adam and Jesus had the same mission? You do point out an interesting contrast in their lives. But it seems like saying Yasser Arafat succeeded where Moses failed. Yasser entered the Promised Land. Wouldn't it be more accurate to say that Jesus cleaned up Adam's mess?

  Actually, if one reads the account in Genesis carefully, it says that God told Adam not to eat the fruit. It does not say that Eve was told anything of the sort. Adam likely told her what God had told him. God holds Adam far more accountable than Eve. Blaming Eve is misogynostic and wrong. Eve was tricked, Adam chose.

  Regarding the OP, succeeded or failed at what? Was Adam supposed to be our saviour? If so, then to achieve this he would have to have not sinned - hence no need for a saviour. What did Jesus do that Adam failed to do?
